The Patent
This patent pending ladder attachment is designed to make an ice rescue safer and easier.
First it has a wider width than a conventional ladder. Second it has a removable rung at the top of the ladder. By removing the rung from the Ice Rescue Ladder it can be strategically placed over a conventional extension ladder, allowing the open holes of the Ice Rescue Ladder and the end rung of the conventional ladder to be aligned. The removed rung can now be inserted back through the opening on the Ice Rescue Ladder and that of the hollow rung of the conventional ladder. Thus joining the two ladder to together and creating a pivot point.
Next slide the two attached ladders over the ice to the stranded person and allow the Ice Rescue Ladder to drop over the edge of the ice into the water. The Person in the water can now climb out of the water either on their own or they will be able assist the rescuer in getting themselves to safety.
Its that easy. A safer way to rescue.
